PaK man's body to be exhumed from grave | KNO

Srinagar, February 09 (KNO) : After seven months of recovery of his body from Line of Control under mysterious circumstances and burial in grave, body of a man from Kotli village of Pakistan administered Kashmir will be exhumed out in next few days. Details with KNO revealed that body of the said man was found near a forward LoC post in Nowshera on 23rd of July last year and he had died under mysterious circumstances. Body was later shifted to Nowshera hospital by police where post mortem examination was conducted while a FIR in E&IMCO was registered in Nowshera police station, said sources. "As body remained unidentified, it was handed over to a man in Mohra Kampala village where last rites were performed in religious manner and body was buried in grave," an official of police told KNO. He, however said that during investigation, it has come to fore that man is a resident of Kotli Gujaran village of PaK Simultaneously, family member of deceased approached Army through Pakistan Army and demanded that his body be handed back to conduct last rites in native village. Taking note of all this, District Magistrate Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Assad has ordered to exhume the body from grave. In its order, District Magistrate has asked police to exhume the body in presence of executive magistrate and doctors and then handover the same to Army so that body can be handed over to the Pakistani army. In its report, police has also submitted that man might have crossed LoC and reached here where he died under mysterious circumstances. District Magistrate Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Assad confirmed that order for exhuming body has been issued.(KNO)
